“You got to have patience”, “Patience is a virtue”, “Only time will tell”, are coined phrases that I have heard over the course of my life. Waiting is such a trying task that will—test anyone’s patience. It can be nerve-wracking to wait on some news, such as an acceptance letter from a college or a call back to see if you got the job. Waiting can be frustrating, when you’re stuck in traffic along 285, in July, in Georgia, and your air-conditioner isn’t working. But one thing people aren’t talking about is What Waiting Looks Like, which is the title of Evangelist Courtney Aiken’s book, set to release December 31, 2019.
What Waiting Looks Like: The Guide to Preparing You for Your Status Upgrade is a ‘tell it like it is’ book about life, relationships, and loving you. Reading this book is like having your big sister telling you all the struggles she’s been through so that you don’t make the mistake. Sometimes in waiting on ‘the one’, we neglect our relationship with ourselves and ‘the only one’—God. You will laugh, you will do some self-reflection, most importantly you will know what to do while you wait.
I’ve had the pleasure of reading the book prior to its release and I recommend it. Trust me, I wasn’t paid to recommend it because if anything I would be promoting my own book, The S Factor: The guide to being Single, Satisfied and Saved. But it’s such a pleasure to know that there are other women are here on a mission to change lives, one book at a time!
